Thick, long, slightly wavy and insanely healthy-looking, Lindsay Lohan’s hair is giving us all the feels, right now.
The 38-year-old actress, who’s currently filming a sequel to her 2003 movie, Freaky Friday along with Jamie Lee Curtis and Chad Michael Murray, looked absolutely gorgeous when she took to Instagram on Monday (July 29).
Posting a small gallery of behind-the-scenes snaps of a photo shoot with film directors and photographers, Luca and Alessandro Morelli, aka The Morelli Brothers, Lindsay looked fresh-faced and absolutely stunning.
She wore a marled, v-neck tee, barely-there makeup courtesy of celebrity makeup artist, Ash K Holm, and looked at least ten years younger thanks to her flawless complexion and cute freckles.
Even Khloe Kardashian loved the Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen star’s look, posting “cutie” in response to the stunning pics.
And is it just us or does Lindsay have a slight look of a young Madonna about her? Uncanny, right?
Lindsay is famed for her beautiful red hair but often plays with her color, deepening the tones to a rich auburn shade or lightening it up with strawberry blonde highlights.
But this is by far our favorite look for her. Like ever.
Lindsay has hairstylist to the stars, Dimitris Giannetos to thank for her latest hair, who also posted the same images and coined the look “churro waves.”
Yeah, that was a new one for us, too! Thankfully, Dimitris explained all in an interview with Allure magazine.
“Churro waves are the combination of flat and mermaid waves,” he said. “More stringy and styled in different directions. Sweet and messy like churros.”
Dimitris also tagged ghd and Nexxus haircare in his post so we can only presume LiLo’s waves were created using a combination of Nexxus styling products (maybe the new Prep & Protect Heat Defense Spray to protect her beautiful locks?) and his trusty ghds.
Beachy waves, angel waves, mermaid waves and now churro waves look much better when achieved with flat irons rather than curling tongs because they allow the hair to lay flatter and more ‘bendy’ if you like. They give that I-just-got-out-of-bed-and-looked-like-this kind of vibe.
But don’t be fooled, a lot of work goes into getting hair to fall in such a soft, tousled way.
To help you create a similar look, ghd has filmed this useful YouTube video showing how to get beachy waves. Just remember to prep your hair first with some kind of heat protection or, over time, your hair will look more frazzled and fried than gorgeous and glossy, à la Lindsay.
You could also try this super easy trick if you hate any kind of heat styling and prefer to air dry your hair. Simply wash and condition your hair as normal, then gently towel-dry before applying mousse or styling cream.

Next, twist your hair into two buns at the nape of your neck, fix with pins and allow your hair to dry thoroughly. Once completely dry, untwist the buns, rake the hair through with your fingers and finish with a spritz of Nexxus Comb Thru Flexible Hold Hairspray to really get into the LiLo spirit!
