With over 308 million followers on Instagram (yikes!), and as part of one of the most famous families in the world, Khloe Kardashian is certainly not afraid of the spotlight.
She’s often seen on social media showing off her incredible figure, chameleon hair, stunning makeup and eclectic wardrobe choices. And can we just ask, how vast must her closet be?!
In terms of her hair, just like her older sister, Kim, Kourteney loves to play around with her color and length, switching it up more often than we change our underwear. OK, so we’re being dramatic, but you get the point.
Whether she’s donning a fabulous wig or showing off a succession of different shades thanks to some master hair coloring skills from the best in the biz, Khloe is one helluva hair chameleon.
Most recently, KoKo has been working almost booty-skimming chocolate brown hair. It’s probably our favorite color for her because it perfectly complements her hazel eyes, strong brows and olive skin. So we were pleased to see that her latest hair-over hasn’t veered away from the dark side.
She has, however, had some awesome layers chopped into her shiny long locks. And we are all in.
Khloe took to the ‘Gram this week (July 24) to flaunt her new look which is very reminiscent of the curve or ‘c’ cut made popular last year by ‘the Jennifers’ (that’s Aniston and Lopez, btw!). The curve cut is all about choppy, feathered, face-framing layers that flip inwards around the neck and jawline. It’s very ‘90s… but styled with a ‘20s edge!
Of course, the man behind Khloe’s new layers was the Kardashian clan’s much-famed hairstylist, Chris Appleton. (Interestingly, JLo is also a big fan of Chris’ hair skills – go figure!)
“It only took me a week to convince you to cut this,” Chris posted in response to her post.
To which the mother-of-two replied, “I love to play hard to get.” Ha, you go girl!
Khloe’s gorgeous layers were styled in a middle parting (more ‘90s action, right there!) and blow-dried with plenty of volume and shine.
Chris is a director at Color Wow Hair so we’re going to take a punt that he used something like Raise The Root Thicken + Lift Spray for that incredible blowout. And maybe the viral Dream Coat Supernatural Spray for a glass-like, frizz-free finish.
To top off her look, Khloe opted for nude but uber glamorous makeup (can we just take a moment to appreciate those lashes?) thanks to top makeup artist, Ash K Holm. And to ensure her new layers were not overshadowed by a high neckline, she wore a low-cut, pin-stripe bustier corset top, matching big pants and a silk robe with sheer black pantyhose.
What did we say about Khloe not being afraid of the spotlight? Understatement of the year!
