There’s nothing quite like witnessing a TikTok trend manifest in real life. Often, it’s hard to believe that the viral styles we see on social media can translate seamlessly into everyday wear.

Yet, Bella Hadid consistently proves us wrong. The Orebella founder came back to Cannes after a two-year hiatus, and her latest look was all business.

The 27-year-old model was spotted leaving the Hôtel Martinez in a classic model-off-duty look: a silk, vintage-inspired mini-dress paired with kitten heels. The highlight of her ensemble was the office siren ‘business bun’, adding a quirky and sophisticated touch to her outfit.

Throughout her career, Hadid has consistently put her own spin on the model-off-duty style, and a slicked-back bun has become one of her signature looks. This time, she left a single strand of hair loose to frame her face, while the rest of her brown hair was slicked back into a low bun, exuding a chic receptionist vibe. Completing the office siren look were her frameless sunglasses, which looked like they could be straight out of The Devil Wears Prada.

Her makeup was perfectly suited for the sunny Cannes weather. She opted for a bronzy cheek with a slight wash of coral pink blush and a muted glossy pink lip, enhancing her natural beauty and complementing her outfit.

Her business bun, now deemed the “office siren” look, has sparked a new trend that is both functional and stylish. It’s a look that can transition from a business meeting to a casual outing effortlessly.

The idea of sporting an office bun at the beach might seem unconventional, but with Hadid’s endorsement, it’s certainly worth a try.

To create a sleek low office bun for the beach, start with clean, dry hair. Brush your hair thoroughly to remove any tangles and smooth it out. For an extra sleek look, you can apply a small amount of hair gel or pomade to help smooth any flyaways and keep your hair in place.

Next, decide where you want your part, whether it’s the middle or the side, and use a comb to create a clean, straight line.

Gather your hair into a low ponytail at the nape of your neck, using your brush or comb to ensure your hair is sleek and flat against your head. Secure the ponytail with a hair elastic, making sure it’s tight enough to hold your hair in place but not so tight that it’s uncomfortable.

Twist the ponytail around its base to form a bun. Depending on your hair’s length and thickness, you can wrap it tightly or loosely for a fuller bun. Use hairpins or bobby pins to secure the bun, ensuring the pins are hidden and the bun feels secure.

Smooth down any remaining flyaways with a bit more hair gel or pomade, and finish with hairspray to keep your hairstyle in place throughout the day. Check in the mirror to make sure everything looks neat and tidy, adjusting any loose strands or pins as needed.
